Tallow contains a wide array of nutrients that are beneficial for the skin.
Vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K.
Alpha linoleic and linoleic acids, also known as Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. They maintain the structure and barrier for skin. They are also helpful in reducing inflammatory and immune responses in skin such as rosacea and excema.
Stearic acid and oleic acid are fatty acids that are found in the outer layer of our skin, and in our sebum. They are softening, moisturizer, and regenerative. Stearic acid helps to repair skin, improve the flexibility of skin, improves skin’s barrier function. Oleic acid helps the various beneficial nutrients penetrate deeply into skin.
Palmitoleic acid is a very active antimicrobial in our skin.
Palmitic acid helps improve the smoothness of skin, and helps with skin’s barrier function.
Because of all of these properties that are contained in grass-fed beef tallow, it is extremely moisturizing to our skin and doesn't leave an oily feel. It soaks into the skin and is absorbed very well.
